Vegetable based inks for all our print.

All our offset printing including Green Printing with our recycled paper approved stocks meets the international ISO 14001: 2004 standard, which means the use of 100% use of computer to plate technology, vegetable based inks using a mixture of soy and linseed oils, use of paper wastage minimisation software, an alcohol free printing process, 100% recycled cardboard packaging and a range of other requirements.

We choose to use a vegetable soy ink made from soybeans, as it is known to be a more environmentally friendly choice for printers. And these days and as we know, every little bit helps!

Thinking of an original idea can be harder than you think with a creative business card design – you can go too much info and it becomes hard to read, or not enough and then no one is interested in what it is you do.

Here at Lawson Creative when we do a design we take an overall look at your logo, the fonts that will work with that, and what info is NEEDED on a card. I for one as a Designer love the logo being used on 1 side of the card then a Spot UV layer over the top, then for the back perhaps a funky image if its a product you sell, or if its a serviced based business a short list of what it is you do and where – all with a matte coating to give it more depth to the colours and a thicker feel.

But remember you want people to go to your website so don’t give too much away!

Business Cards fast – Australia wide free delivery

We always get asked for business cards – yesterday! Often the stock or finish someone wants may only print once a week like our Eco Print options, or a Matte coated stock needs 3 days to dry and you have a conference on the weekend - Your in luck with Lawson Creative we print the 350 gsm machine varnish business cards daily, and its only a 1 day turn around to your office or home if you live in Melbourne. Of course additional days for other cities or rural areas, but generally it may only be a 3 day turn around for this quality business cards.

Just note we need all artwork in and approved for print by no later than 12pm. Logo’s whats really important about them?

I was thinking about logos today after seeing a board game about logo’s, yes that right..mmm anyhow makes you realise how much of an influence a logo can be – here’s a thought from one of the best;

Paul Rand, one of the world’s greatest designers states that “a logo is a flag, a signature, an escutcheon, a street sign. A logo does not sell (directly), it identifies. A logo is rarely a description of a business. A logo derives meaning from the quality of the thing it symbolizes, not the other way around. A logo is less important than the product it signifies; what it represents is more important than what it looks like. The subject matter of a logo can be almost anything.”
